Team Played: Terriers v Thame
Bracknell Score: 3
Opposition Score: 2
Scorers: Logan Rusn Russell scored his first goal for Barcknell in this crunch game against third place Thame. After going one down against the run of play Logan made a solo run that restored belief in the side; bravely winning a 50 50 challenge with a keeper three times his size then calmly slipping the ball home past two covering defenders. Bracknell then established a half time lead with a goal that owed a lot to putting into play the work done on the coaching field with pass after pass eliminating defender after defender to leave Jon Brayshaw with an unmissable tap in.
The second half saw Bracknell play even better moving the ball simply and effectively and probing down both sides of the field. The crucial third goal was scored at the second attempt by Ash Stratton who was returning from long term injury the goal was more or less the last thing he did before having to come off to protect his sore hamstring. The readjustment gave Thame a small chink of light and they began to get a larger proportion of possession although they were generally restricted to breaking; from this period they did pull it back to 3:2 but ran out of time in their pursuit of an equalizer.
