Flying start for the Fuzzy Ducks
By Zoe Yates
The first mixed friendly of the season was hosted by Camberley. This fun and friendly game resulted in a win for The Fuzzy Ducks.
It was the first mixed game of the season, and also the first time the players had played all together, and the challenge was to beat local rivals Camberley. As the game started the intensity was high and remained that throughout the first half. The first goal came after a good run from Dan Ray and shortly after came another goal for the team from Dan White. Just before half time the team attacked once more which lead to a goal from Zoe Yates.
At half time some positions were changed and after this with Katie Bailey's first touch of the ball upfront it became 4-0.
As the game continued the score line increased by a goal from Chris. After a quick break from Camberley it became 5-1. After conceding a goal another attack was made and Connor dribbled into the box and finished a good strike into the top corner. Attacks came from both teams late in the game but a strong attack lead to another goal from Katie Bailey ending the game with a 7-1 win to the Fuzzy Ducks.
Thanks to the Camberley team for being such great hosts, we had a great afternoon of hockey :-)
With this performance it gives good confidence for the next game on 14th December at Bracknell as the fuzzy Ducks take on Woking.
