With only 9 men Wokingham were always going to struggle and with a loanee from Sevenoaks the first 20 minutes proved a bit torrid. But some good interventions by Fisher and Lee in defence kept Sevenoaks at bay. A timely interception by Menezes put Powell away on the right to score the first goal against the run of play. A mistimed tackle in defence let Sevenoaks in for their first goal and two more were conceded in quick succession from a short corner and an unfortunate bobble over Bell after he had made a good save. the second half was a more even affair with Wokingham counter attacking well as Lee was able to break up the Seveneoaks attacks and release some good passes out of defence to Powell and Mear whose runs were exciting but eventually snuffed out by solid defending. With Montgomery and jheeta working like trojans in midfield it was disappointing when Sevenoaks fired in a shot that was going wide only for a defender to deflect it in the goal . Sevenoaks pressure allowed them to collect another two goals despite some solid keeping by Bell. Wokingham had more chances which just went wide and it was Menezes after a surging run who popped in a consolation goal late in the half. An enjoyable game despite the scoreline.
