Bracknell maintained possession from the start due to determined tackling from their defence and skilful build up in midfield providing great opportunities for Kelly Lockyer and Caroline Apsey up front. Following a series of short corners Bracknell were rewarded with their first goal from Yellie Powley's straight strike at goal.
Bracknell didn't rest there and pushed on for their next goal - which came shortly after when Yellie Powley crossed the ball into the D for it to be deflected into the top corner of the goal by Caroline Apsey.
Oxford put on a valiant fight in the second half in an effort to equalise the score line however, calm defensive play and textbook saves by Jen Sawyer (man of the match) kept Bracknell firmly in the game.
Hard work from Gemma McLean and Kath Coveney in the midfield meant that the ball stayed in the Oxford half however no further goals added to the total.
Bracknell remain joint top of the league and pushing for promotion!
