Ladies 1's V Amersham and Chalfont

Bracknell Ladies 1st team hosted Amersham and Chalfont on Saturday, a team 2 places below Bracknell in the increasingly tight Trysports Premier Division. Bracknell struggled to find their usual fast-paced, committed tempo and conceded 2 goals early on to a determined Amersham team. After a frank team-talk at half time by coach Sean Hardingham, Bracknell returned with improved vigour and were rewarded when a lovely passing move between Yellie Powley and Man of the Match Gemma McClean ended in a goal for Gemma. Within 5 minutes Bracknell produced another flowing move, which ended with Becky Peatfield's shot coming back off the inside of the post. With Bracknell pressing for an equaliser, Amersham were able to catch them on the break and another goal made the score 1-3. In spite of the loss, the second half saw a significant improvement in the performance, and Bracknell will hope to continue this when they take on Sonning next Saturday.
