Central midfielder Janine Moorby started particularly well, holding up the play, and maintaining pressure in the sonning half. With great link up play on both wings, Bracknell looked the more attacking of the two sides. Defender Anna Marcun made some important tackles that left the score at 0-0 going into half time. Bracknell started the second half well, with Emma Millard looking very strong on the right. Having won a short corner, Bracknell knew it was their chance to capitalise. A fantastic straight strike put Bracknell 1-0 ahead with 20 minutes to go. Sonning responded well, and looked close to equalising. However, goal keeper Emma read did well to keep a clean sheet. As the final whistle blew, elated captain Rebecca Yeomans praised a solid performance. Bracknell look ahead to next weeks mid table clash against Windsor.
