Scorers: Richard Jones (2), Duncan Wiggett
Due to travel issues, Brunel started the match without a keeper, but no matter, they were two nil up before Bracknell had even managed a shot at goal, as Bracknell looked half asleep in the game's early staged. By the time Bracknell did manage a shot, there was a keeper in the goal to make the save.
Brunel added a third just before the break, a fine effort from a short corner. At three nil down however, Bracknell were optimistic. They had played well against the students and the three nil score didn't fully reflect the balance of the game.
Come the second half Bracknell looked far more resolute, however Brunel struck again, shooting in a rebound off the Bracknell keeper. At four nil down the game was effectively over, but that was when Bracknell mounted their comeback. First, Richard Jones scored from a short corner. 4 1. Then, Duncan Wiggett won and converted a penalty flick. 4 2. Minutes later, Richard Jones scored again from a short corner. 4 3. Could it be? Bracknell were looking like they would pull off the most audacious of comebacks.
Alas, they run out of time, and between Jones scoring his second and the full time whistle there were only two minutes - not enough time for the equaliser.
Bracknell have shipped eleven goals in their last two games, scoring only five. Scant return, but if they continue playing like this for the rest of the season, they will surely pick up the points they need to avoid relegation.
