Bracknell Mens 2s 13 Gerrards Cross 0
Bracknell put their opponents to the sword and much improved their goal difference in the process in a very one sided affair. The visitors elected to play with 11 outfield players due to a lack of goalkeeper, but even so, Bracknell capitalised on the situation to maximum effect. All game it was not clear that Gerrards Cross had a man advantage on pitch. They only mustered 2 shots in what was a highly forgettable game for them. Bracknell played tactically very well, they knew they just had to get the ball on an attackers stick in the D and goals would flow and they adapted their play very well to make sure this happened. By half time it was 6-0 and the game was over as a contest. In the second half, Bracknell kept their shape, resisting the temptation to crowd the D greedily in search of goals. Bracknell's forwards reaped the rewards, especially Tom Scott who put away 7 goals. Rob Badley claimed a hat trick and there were goals from Richard Jones, Dean Baker and an own goal. The 7 goals in the second half meant that, at 13-0, it was a great result for the team in 7th place in the league, especially as they had lost to this opposition 7-1 earlier in the season.
