Bracknell succumbed to their higher placed opposition despite putting up a good fight. In the early stages of the match, Brunel's skill on the ball was too much for the home team as almost every attack and subsequent shot at goal went in to provide them with a very comfortable 5-0 lead. Bracknell kept faith however, they were doing some damage on the counter attack but without a final product. The Birch Hill side did get some reward as the half wore on, scoring twice, once via an own goal and again through Richard Jones. The second half was much more even, Bracknell continued to look to close the gap and had an opportunity to do so via a penalty flick but unfortunately it was saved. Bracknell kept going forward and did make the scoreline closer through Rob Badley's strike. At 5-3, another goal for Bracknell may have worried Brunel but unfortunatley it never came, despite Badley being presented with an open goal! Brunel duly went up the other end to seal the game at 6-3.
