Bracknell 2 vs West Hampstead 6

Bracknell's promotion hunt in MBBO division six continued with a match against their old foes, West Hampstead. Having lost last weekend, Bracknell knew they could ill afford another defeat but they needn't have worried. This was in truth a relative formality for Bracknell and, but for the first ten minutes, the result never looked in doubt.
That ten minute period saw West Hampstead's brightest spell of the game as they kept possesion inside Bracknell's twenty five. But for all their attacking intent, they did not manage a single shot at goal.
At the other end of the field, Bracknell's ball play eventually wore down their opponents, allowing Adrian Plant to send home a shot of terrific power to open the scoring for the home side. West Hampstead could offer little in response and Bracknell went in at half time one goal to the good.
The second half could be described as a repetition of the first, were it not for a total lack of any attacking intent from West Hampstead. Instead, Bracknell continued to control the game. Before long, Adrian Plant added his second of the game - another cracker from the edge of the D that fizzed past the Hampstead keeper.
If there was any doubt about whch team would win the game, it was removed by Dave Mackinder, who scored from ten yards out after good work by Tom Scott.
Three nil it finished then, and, if anything, Bracknell deserved to win by more.
