This in preparation for a MBBO division five fixture at Bicester.On the back of five straight wins, Bracknell had every reason to be confident of victory, but in truth they laboured to a win with a performance that did not match their usual standards. The win came more from good pieces of individual play rather than a good all round team effort. Peter Scott opened the scoring with a reverse stick strike following a short corner at which poor defending allowed him three bites of the cherry before scoring.The second goal was claimed by Sean McInnes after good build up play.Debutant Ian Freeman got the goal that effectively ended the match as a contest. Playing well on the left wing, Freeman found space inside the D and scored with one touch. A fitting reward for a good debut.The second half was mostly unremarkable. Bracknell relaxed into the game with their three goal cushion, and without being particularly stretched at the back, they did little to stretch their oppponents. It fell to Peter Scott on the stroke of full time to tuck away a fairly untidy goal.Not their most convincing performance, but Bracknell will be pleased to have won, and also with the clean sheet. Results elsewhere contrived to send them top of the league on a generally successful day, despite the performance.
