Bracknell Score: 6 Opposition Score: 0
Scorers: Alex Page (2) Richard Jones, Peter Scott, Shaun Mcinnes, Adrian Plant
Match Report: The visitors to Birch Hill for this MBBO division 5 match were Abingdon and they came closer than any other team Bracknell have played since October to getting a goal. The six nil final score was hard on Abingdon; they created enough chances to warrant a goal or two, but ultimately, Bracknell converted their chances (and missed a fair few on top) whilst their opponents didn't. An Alex Page brace in the first half put Bracknell two nil up, both fine goals. A catastrophic error from Abingdon as they took a 16 yard hit gifted Bracknell a virtually unopposed third from Richard Jones and signalled that perhaps it wouldn't be Abingdon s day. Peter Scott, on his trademark reverse stick, Shaun McInnes and Adrian Plant, who scored from the tightest of angles saw Bracknell double their lead in the second half. Apart from Ashley Holden nearly having his face ripped off from an erratic goal keeper's clearance, it was all plain sailing for Bracknell. Their accumulated results of this five game run now reads 28 scored, none conceded, and has seen Bracknell go to the top of the table. Confidence will be sky high as they go into next week's crunch game away against OMT, the result of which will go a long way to deciding whether or not Bracknell will claim a third successive promotion.
