The 4's started well creating a number of chances, at the other end grips was called into action coming off his line to clear out a dangerous attack. The 4s kept pressing to take advantage of the early momentum and were rewarded when Taylor bundled home from close range.
Phoenix started to exert pressure and dominate midfield and Grips again was required to make a number of saves. Against the run of the play the 4's scored a second when a Tangy strike was deflected by a defender and tickled in by Peel.
The second half saw the 4s start well creating pressure and threatening the phoenix goal. Phoenix then started to dominate pushing extra players into the midfield and the 4's started to play more on the counter attack. The 4's thought they had struck the killer blow when Peely converted a bouncing ball, only for the umpire to rule it out. Phoenix then stepped up the pressure and the 4s were indebted to grips who pulled of a string of good saves and deservedly won MOM.
