Bracknell Mens 4’s :

Team Played:

Bracknell Score: 1

Opposition Score: 0

Scorers: Ian Wilson

The decisive goal came from Bracknell s prolific short corner routine with Ian Wilson half blocked shot having enough on it to creep over the line and nestle in the corner. This was reward for a superbly executed game plan in the first half with Oxford chasing shadows and the ball as the Terriers bemused them with quick passing good movement and a shape that always gave options.

The second half proved more of a battle with Oxford upping the tempo, the foul count and intimidation to try to get a foot hold in the game. In these circumstances it was difficult to replicate the first half rhythm but the team dug deep and battled all the way even when presented with much bigger and physically strong opposition the younger smaller team members never gave ground easily. Connor Eatwell and Zak Brayshaw were exemplary in the attitude both halves and Rhys Copland having his best game of the season leading the line and getting the bruises to prove it.
