New guidance was issued by England Hockey from the 19 July following the confirmation from the Government most of the legal restrictions relating to Covid-19 would end.
Summary of Changes:-
- There are no longer any limits on the number of people that can participate in and spectate
- Removal of the limitations on changing rooms, clubhouses, hospitality and domestic travel.
- There is no longer a need for a participation agreement.
Covid controls for South Berkshire Hockey Club:-
- Before play all players must continue to self assess and by confirming attendance on pitchero they confirm they are Covid free to the best of their knowledge
- Attendance registers to continue to be completed for all practice and matches by session owner (coach/ captain)
- Equipment should not be shared within a session (bibs etc should be washed / have 72 hours between usage)
- Post play please wash your hands / sanitise in case you have picked something up during the session
- We will continue to use electronic payments to minimise the spread of the virus
Please be considerate to everyone involved in hockey activity as there will be different expectations and levels of comfort amongst different groups.
Be respectful of others, stay safe and most of all, enjoy being back on the pitch!
Process if you Test positive for Covid 19
- If you test positive or become ill from Covid 19 within 21 days of playing in a hockey session or match then please contact Bruce McCulloch and your captain.
- Your captain will inform the rest of the team
- It is advised that you contact NHS track and trace
- Your captain will inform Bruce which team and matches that you attended
- Bruce will then contact the other club's Covid officer
England Hockey advice is you do not need to self isolate unless you are requested to by NHS Track and Trace or need to due to government guidelines.
