Fortress Cantley defense holds on the 2nd time of asking

This weekend the 3s had their 2nd home game of the season...not bad considering this was GW7. Another week, another admin mess up from the skipper who forgot he needed to be in London at before 5pm - notably getting to the location at 4.15 after playing the game before.

The team started the game with a strong first half and taking the initial lead with a swift goal from Bear, followed by another from Ellwood, this gave us the edge we needed. A marking mix up from the defence near the end of the first half led to us conceding a goal, with Wootton on the comeback.

Despite the momentum shift towards Wootton, any comeback was promptly shutdown due to a strong performance from Bailey "the brick wall" Kelly at centre back carried the defence. Shaggy went on to cement the advantage through scoring a third giving us a 3-1 lead.

Bit of nerves towards the end of the game with a comfortable advantage, a bit of panic set in and South Berks conceded a second goal. Wootton looking to repeat the last minute upset from last season. Not to be as the game reached it's climax with Bear getting in the way of a fantastic shot from Olly - not that this helped the situation.

The victory was secured in the end through a tough battle against Wootton. 3-2 win, with Fortress Cantley remaining holding strong.
