With both teams looking for the win in this game it was going to be a tough game no matter what.
Plenty of talk pre-match following on from the End of Season Dinner where Ryan/Gladys faced off during the speeches - laying down the gauntlet. A new (old) face took the reigns as the skipper decided to play the "how long can a 3s captain last in the 2s" game.

The 3s warmed up well, looking to up the tempo following the narrow win over Staines the previous week. The "away" game saw the 3s eager to take the points and claim bragging rights going into the season.

Robbie scored the first goal for South Berks 3s, a loose ball deflected by Elliot with Robbie waiting to pounce. This raised the level of the game with the 4s looking to get back.
3s were playing well until Bear, turned and passed to Tom Scott, should note Bear was 3s and Tom 4s...Tom with a clear run into the D, George GK was unfortunate not to win the 1v1 and conceded a stroke. Not one of Tom's best strokes but the 4s level it up 1-1.

Shortly after, 3s go back in front from a lovely worked goal assisted by Des and finished off by Mike, nice drive down the left, with Des passing on the reverse! Easy tap in - follow-up by Mike running off, Hamstring down to 15% integrity.

After trying to hold on to this lead until the final whistle the 4s then come back once again from one of their many short corners making them have belief once again and the game was back on!

Shortly after, from the fitness of individuals within the 3s it wasn’t long until there were lovely link ups and plays which saw 3 goals come one after another.

The final score being a 5-2 win for the 3s, just proving they're the better South Berks in the league !!
