Bracknell Ladies 1 vs Aylesbury Ladies 2

Scorers: Caroline Apsey Regardless of the strong defence shown by Libby Mound, Marcia Clapson, Samantha Hall, Becky Peatfield and goal keeper Jen Sawyer, Bracknell were unable to contain the pressure from the opposition. Aylesbury made a number of quick attacks and although Bracknell dealt with most of them Aylesbury were able to convert one of them and get the ball in the back of the goal halfway through the first half. Despite some sterling work from Kelly Lockyer ,who never tired of chasing and harrying the Aylesbury defence, Bracknell could not reply.In the second half, there was some strong tactical play from Dash Heaver, Gemma McLean and Alice Randall in the midfield which finally presented Caroline Apsey with half a chance to score which she leapt on, getting the equaliser. Unfortunately after a series of questionable umpiring decisions Bracknell became rattled and lost their concentration for a short period. They pressed forward looking for the winner but were caught by a swift counterattack from Aylesbury who scored their second and winning goal despite dogged defensive play by the entire Bracknell side.
