However, MK showed the same battle and determination and after a lucky break in play they scored within the first 10 minutes. Bracknell immediately upped their game containing the play within the oppositions half but unfortunately nothing came to fruition.
The second half Bracknell started as they meant to go on and won a short corner. With some precision passing from Yellie Powley and Gemma McLean, Bracknell saw the ball into the back of the net. At this point, Bracknell dominated the play, looking for the 2nd goal but unfortunately, against the run of play MK won a short corner and the goal line became 2-1.
Bracknells defence, being commanded by goalie Jen Sawyer, battled on pushing the play up the pitch. Bracknell soon gained another short corner opportunity and with another perfectly timed pass from Yellie Powley, Kelly Lockyer beautifully deflected the ball into the top corner.
Despite Bracknell efforts MK scored in the closing minutes of the game, concluding the score line to 2-3.
Bracknell 1’s were not deflated and feel optimistic for next week’s match against Reading 2’s away.
