Bracknell 1s Vs Abingdon Pilgrims Ladies 1

Kelly Lockyer started the proceedings with the first goal, quickly followed by Becky Peatfield. Bracknell maintained composure and possession showing their intent and winning a short corner gaining Marcia Clapson a goal from a straight strike. After some good play and communication came a goalfest from Becky Peatfield, Caroline Apsey and Gemma McLean making the score line 6-0. Abingdon fought back however Bracknells defence remained focused forcing the ball into the attacking half. Through excellent play from Dash Heaver and Gemma McLean Caroline Apsey’s 2nd and 3rd goals game putting Bracknell to 8-0. Bracknell finished the half with a short corner and a goal from Sam Hall.

The 2nd half Bracknell maintained momentum however Abingdon found a new lease of life and came out fighting putting 2 goals past Bracknell. Kath Coveney responded with a run from half way line passing Abingdons defence and midfield on the way, making it to the D and finishing with a goal.

Abingdon caught Bracknell on a lucky break and slotted another past keeper Jen Sawyer.

Bracknell pushed on and won a short corner, with precision passing from Kath Coveney it allowed Kelly Lockyer to put her 2nd goal past Abingdon.

Bracknell however finished on a high with Kelly Lockyer also completing a hattrick though great team work from Dash Heaver and Kath Coveney Kelly followed through with a low sweep into the Abingdon net finalising the game at 12-3 to Bracknell.
