The league leaders travelled to Birch Hill and Bracknell can be proud of their performance despite succumbing to defeat. Despite eventually going on to lose 3-1, Bracknell matched their opponents and were well organised in defence as well as being able to hold the ball up well in attack. Halfway through the first half, Hawks did strike as a forward was afforded too much space in the D and he struck to put them 1-0 up. Bracknell did not buckle and continued to play their own game; this was rewarded when Bracknell broke fast from a tackle on the edge of their own D. Tom Scott received the ball and drove forward, laying into the path of Rob Badley who tied the game up 1-1. In the Second half, Oxford Hawks began to stamp their authority as Bracknell had to soak up a lot of pressure. This pressure told as Hawks were able to regain their lead. Bracknell still did not wilt and continued to work hard as a team; ultimately they did not provide enough threat up front to equalise and the league's best team had the last word, scoring from a short corner with the last hit of the game
