Bracknell put in a good team performance to see off Sonning and all but cement 7th place in the league. After a narrow victory in the corresponding fixture, Bracknell were expecting another tight game against their relegation threatened opponents. In truth, the home side were too strong and raced into a 3-0 lead by half time. The strike partnership of Tom Scott and Richard Jones were ably supplied by the rest of the team and they did the damage with Jones scoring twice and setting up Scott to give Bracknell a healthy half time lead. In the second half, Sonning knew they had to take the game to their opponents and they did just that, pressing Bracknell for the majority of the half; but the home defence stood firm. With time running out, Sonning did eventually find the net but Bracknell did not bat an eyelid as they simply went up the other end to restore their three goal advantage soon after: Tom Scott applied the simple finish. Bracknell can look forward to their last two games of the season with no pressure.
