> Match Report: This game was always to be a measure of Bracknell s development side s progress, having lost to second in the league Marlow 8:0 in the reverse fixture prior to Christmas, what would the outcome be? Well at the end of a titanic match it is clear that the next generation of Bracknell players are traveling in the right direction. Make no mistake the terriers did not have it all their own way in this game but it is what they did without the ball that was almost as impressive as what they did with it. For all of Marlow s possession they were restricted to a hand full of short corners and managed to call Marcus brown in the Terrier s goal into action maybe three times throughout the whole game; and these were regulation clearances rather than dramatic saves. The Terriers took the lead from a well worked short corner with Jonathan Hall finishing off good work from Connor Eatwell and Rik Temmink Marlow responded ten minutes later with a rapier like short corner shot
> , then within minutes they were awarded another but this time Bracknell defended well and countered; in five incisive passes Jon Brayshaw beat the keeper with a dipping strike this was the move of the match and restored a lead not to be relinquished. The second half saw Marlow up the effort and press hard but Bracknell s defense was exemplary and with ten minutes to go Marlow were spent and if anything it was more likely that the Terriers would extend their lead rather than relinquish it.
